Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has commended members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state over the peaceful conduct of the party’s governorship direct primary, which produced Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola as the party’s candidate for the 2027 governorship election.

The Merit Newspaper reports that in a statement on the outcome of the exercise, Abiodun described the primary as orderly, transparent and credible, noting that it reflected the unity, discipline and democratic values of the APC in Ogun State.

He expressed appreciation to party leaders, stakeholders, members, electoral officials and security agencies for what he described as their commitment and cooperation, which ensured the smooth conduct of the election across the state.

The governor said the wide acceptance of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola as the party’s flag bearer demonstrated the confidence of party members in his leadership capacity and political experience.

He added that the party remains united and focused on consolidating its achievements in governance while continuing to deliver development to the people of Ogun State.
