Badagry, Lagos State — The Diamond Mothers Association, a women-led socio-economic group based in Badagry, Lagos State, has reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing families, promoting entrepreneurship, and strengthening moral values within society.

The association, hosted by Chief Ibrahim Kilanko Olalowo, popularly known as ALADO, who is the Father of the group (Baba Egbe), described the Diamond Mothers as the backbone of every successful individual and community, playing critical roles in family stability, business development, and spiritual growth.

Speaking at a recent gathering of the association, Chief Olalowo emphasised the importance of peace, unity, and responsible living among members, urging them to serve as worthy role models in society.

“Diamond Mothers are not just caregivers; they are builders of destiny and pillars of stability in our homes and communities. I encourage every member to preach peace, uphold good character, and remain shining examples wherever they find themselves,” Olalowo said.

He also offered prayers for the continued progress of the association, asking for divine guidance and wisdom for all members.

“I pray for the growth of this association and for God’s guidance to continue to lead us in all our endeavours. May our efforts bring blessings to our families and the larger society,” he added.

Founded on the principles of mutual support and empowerment, the Diamond Mothers Association was established to help members—particularly women—develop their businesses and improve their livelihoods through cooperation, mentorship, and shared experience.

The group symbolises strength, endurance, and the everlasting bond between mother and child, representing what members describe as a “precious and enduring treasure.” Beyond economic support, the association places strong emphasis on nurturing values, spiritual guidance, and moral teachings that shape children’s character and legacy.

Addressing members, the President of the association, Princess Akerele, encouraged consistency, focus, and dedication in both personal and collective pursuits.

“Whatever we choose to do as Diamond Mothers, we must be consistent and focused. Success comes through discipline, patience, and commitment. As women and mothers, our actions today will determine the future of our children and our society,” Akerele stated.

She described Diamond Mothers as nurturers, protectors, mentors, and confidants who offer unconditional love and safe havens for their families while balancing multiple roles as homemakers, professionals, and community leaders.

According to her, the association also promotes spiritual consciousness, wisdom, and purity, reinforcing the belief that strong moral foundations are essential for sustainable development.

Members of the association noted that Diamond Mothers are regarded as “forever friends” and invaluable treasures whose influence remains lifelong, shaping values, resilience, and positive character in future generations.

The gathering reiterated with thanksgiving and prayers, as members expressed gratitude to God for His guidance and blessings upon the association.

“We cannot thank God enough for all He has been doing for us. May His name alone be glorified forever,” a closing prayer at the event declared.
