ITORI, OGUN STATE — Hon. Akingbala Semiu has paid glowing tributes to the Paramount Ruler of Itori-Egbaland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul Fatai Akorede Akamo, for what he described as the unprecedented exposure, civilization and people-oriented development the monarch has brought to the ancient town.

The Merit Newspaper reports that Akingbala, in a statement, commended the monarch’s visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the socio-economic advancement of Itori, saying his reign has ushered in a new era of growth, peace and prosperity for the community.

According to him, Oba Akamo has not only elevated the profile of Itori-Egbaland but has also touched countless lives through various empowerment initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the people.

“His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul Fatai Akorede Akamo, deserves immense appreciation for the exposure and civilization he has brought to Itori. Since ascending the throne, Kabiyesi has demonstrated exceptional leadership that has placed our community on the path of sustainable development and greater recognition,” Akingbala said.

He noted that the traditional ruler’s passion for the progress of his subjects has continued to manifest in programmes and interventions that have empowered youths, women and families, while fostering peace and unity among residents.

“Beyond his fatherly role as the custodian of our rich cultural heritage, Kabiyesi has distinguished himself as a compassionate and development-driven monarch. His efforts towards empowering the people and promoting peaceful coexistence have brought renewed hope and pride to Itori-Egbaland,” he stated.

Akingbala further described Oba Akamo as a detribalized and visionary royal father whose wisdom and accessibility have strengthened communal harmony and attracted positive attention to the town.

He urged indigenes and residents of Itori, both at home and in the diaspora, to continue supporting the monarch’s developmental agenda and work collectively towards advancing the fortunes of the community.

“Development thrives where there is unity and purposeful leadership. We are fortunate to have a monarch whose reign is characterized by peace, progress and compassion. I call on all sons and daughters of Itori-Egbaland to rally round Kabiyesi and contribute their quota to the continued growth and development of our land,” he said.
