Nigerian music powerhouse Olamide, popularly known as Baddo, has once again taken centre stage with a string of high-profile collaborations, reaffirming his dominance and unmatched work rate in the Afrobeats scene. In less than a month, the prolific artist has delivered multiple joint records—complete with official music videos—alongside some of Nigeria’s most streamed acts, including Teni, Adekunle Gold, Kcee, Bella Shmurda, and rising talent Shoday.

On Teni’s emotionally driven track “Zion,” Olamide adopts a calm and introspective approach, delivering a verse that blends seamlessly with the singer’s soulful tone. His restraint on the record highlights a maturity that prioritises musical harmony over dominance, ultimately elevating the song’s depth.

His collaboration with Adekunle Gold on “Formation” carries both musical and historical weight. Having played a pivotal role in Adekunle Gold’s early career under YBNL, this reunion reflects a full-circle moment—two evolved artists now sharing creative space as equals. The track’s fusion of Afrobeats and Fuji elements underscores their shared roots and artistic growth.

On “Come Kulosa” with Shoday, Olamide once again demonstrates his forward-thinking approach by aligning with the new generation. His willingness to collaborate with emerging voices reinforces his long-standing role as a bridge between established stars and upcoming talents, ensuring continuity within Nigeria’s ever-evolving music industry.

Beyond these, his recent link-ups with Kcee and Bella Shmurda further illustrate a strategic spread across different fan bases and sonic styles. The consistency of releases—each backed by visuals—has sparked conversations among fans, with some humorously suggesting that “Baddo should rest.” Yet, this relentless output appears intentional.

Olamide himself has long declared his tireless approach to music, echoing sentiments from records like “Uptown Disco,” “One by One,” and “Oluwa Loni Glory,” where he insists he will keep delivering hits without pause. This philosophy is now manifesting in real time, as he continues to flood the industry with back-to-back collaborations.

Adding to the momentum, anticipation is building around a new collaboration with fast-rising act Fola OTW, further signalling that Olamide’s current run is far from over. His ability to consistently reinvent himself while maintaining cultural authenticity—particularly through the infusion of Yoruba and Fuji influences—remains a defining strength.

Beyond performance, Olamide’s legacy is deeply tied to talent development through his YBNL label, which has produced several successful Nigerian artists. This dual role as both hitmaker and mentor has solidified his influence across multiple layers of the industry.

Ultimately, Olamide’s recent streak is more than just a burst of activity—it is a statement of endurance, adaptability, and leadership. In a competitive and fast-paced industry, Baddo is not just keeping up; he is setting the pace, reinforcing why he remains one of Afrobeats’ most indispensable figures.
